You can hire bikes in Callantsoog by Kroon Tweewielers. You come closer to the coast to cycle at Petten on the Hondsbossche Dam. In 2015 completed the strengthening of the dike. There is now a huge beach that has been added. You arrive at Schoorldam to the West Frisian dike. The West Omringdijk is a 126 km long dyke, formed by linking several short levees in West Friesland.
The West Omringdijk surrounds the historical region of West Friesland. The Omringdijk runs through the towns of Enkhuizen, Hoorn, Alkmaar, Schagen, Medemblik and Enkhuizen again. A beautiful winding ridge overlooking the polder landscape. The cute little villages are authentic. From Schagerbrug northwards again to cycle to Callantsoog.
