Enkhuizen city walk (see route marked in red on map of the centre)
Start at the Mastenbar café-restaurant (49), where you can enjoy the beautiful view before you set off. When you buy a coffee or tea here and show this Freebee Map, you can get a free parking ticket. On the other side of the road is the Peperhuisje museum (A) (1625). Walk past the Stadhuis town hall (B) (1688) around the Zuiderkerk church (C) (1533) to the Waag weigh house (D) (1559). Continue your walk on the Westerstraat. At the crossroads, on your left, you will see Bella Vita (45), where you can enjoy a delicious lunch. Continue on past the Oude Weeshuis former orphanage (E) (1551) and the beautiful West church or Gomarus church (F) (1540). The extra walk to the Koepoort (G), the west entrance gateway for centuries, is well worth a visit. Then continue walking over the Over de Vest. Stop and enjoy the beautiful Snouck van Loosen Park. Next walk past the Drommedaris (H) (1540), the south entrance gateway to the old part of Enkhuizen, back to the harbours. Your walk ends where it began, at the Mastenbar (49).
