This route leads you along the Geestmerambacht nature reserve and the beautiful polders of North Holland. The route starts at Hortus Alkmaar on the Beverkoog business park. Step inside the Hortus, an oasis of nature of more than 2 hectares with up to 800 species of medicinal plants. Enjoy the rock garden, the vegetable garden, the dune garden, the botanical forest, the American forest, the special pond and if you are lucky, 'our' kingfishers. A nice drink with a snack on our attractive terrace is also highly recommended. Turn right next to the old VSM headquarters onto the cycle path and drive along the back road into Sint Pancras. Cycle through the Geestmerambacht Nature Reserve. If you haven't had enough of our beautiful North Holland yet, we can advise you Camping de Kolibrie. Lovely friendly campsite with all possibilities in the middle of the Dutch Polder landscape.

This route leads you along the old Schoorldam, right through the polders to the coast of Petten and then along the coast to the forest and dunes of Schoorl. Spot almost 900 different mushrooms or see how many plant species you can discover in the dunes. Rent a bike at Masteling Tweewielers and get on a duo bike! In Theme Park de Goudvis play until you can't anymore. All this while you have cycled all the way there yourself. Straight through the dunes, over winding dike roads, with beautiful tulip fields, in the meadows the lambs, goats and cows.

In this beautiful nature reserve you can enjoy many water animals, bridges, locks and winding roads. With the environmentally friendly and silent E- chopper you can fully enjoy these free routes or go exploring by yourself This route starts in Schoorl. You will ride through Schoorl and along the Bergerbosch. Make a stop at the viewpoint 48 meters high and take a look over the treetops. Then you'll drive right into the beautiful village of Bergen. Plenty to see and even stop for a drink at a terrace. Continue through Bergen to Bergen aan Zee, get off to enjoy the beach and the rushing waves of the sea. Continue the route back through the green polders to Bergen and back to Schoorl.

This route you start in Schoorl. Here you drive through the polder to Warmenhuizen, here you can still enjoy picking your own strawberries and Tuitjenhorn. You follow the route to Noord and Zuid Scharwoude. Here you will ride through the Realm of the Thousand Islands. Make a stop at the Broeker Veiling and discover how trading used to be done. Continue the route towards the Berverkoog business park. Here you can also make a stop at Hortus. Step inside and admire the 2ha with as many as 800 species of medicinal plants. Then follow the route through Sint Pancras to the beautiful nature reserve Geestmerambacht . take your time and sometimes make a stop to enjoy. This route leads you from Volendam through the low-lying peat meadow area of Waterland and its picturesque villages. You will pass Edam and Purmerend and via Monnickendam you have a beautiful view of the Gouwzee and the Markermeer. You start the route at De Dijk in Volendam, the village that enjoys international fame. The regional costume often represents the national costume. When you take a break on the terrace, you are sure to see someone in traditional clothing. You cycle through the low-lying peat meadow area of Waterland, and in Edam you cycle past merchant houses from a bygone era. Here you can still see the boats passing on the terrace of 'De Fortuna' via one of the oldest bridges, manually operated by the harbour master. On the Zeedijk you can visit the Alida Hoeve of Henri Willig where they give a demonstration of cheese making and where you can taste cheese, and honestly, do you know how cheese is made?

Let your hair flutter in the salty sea breeze. This route leads you from Egmond aan Zee right through the North Holland Dune Reserve through the beautiful polder along the Alkmaardermeer to the pilgrimage site in Heiloo and interesting places around Egmond, a unique part of the Netherlands. Cycle through the dune landscape and see how the country changes, get off somewhere for a refreshing drink. Afterwards you will cycle in good spirits through the Dutch polder landscape towards the Alkmaardermeer. Take a look at the old varieties of bulbous plants. The peace and quiet that you will find at the holy Runxputte, this is a well-known pilgrimage site in Heiloo. Also take a look at the church, and take a sip of the holy water. Continue the route and through the beautiful bulb fields you will pass the Castle Foundation of Egmond aan den Hoef. This castle was burned down in 1573 under the leadership of Diederick Sonoy. In Egmond aan Zee you can see the lighthouse of Van Speijk. This naval lieutenant preferred to blow up his ship rather than surrender to the Belgian enemy.

This route leads you from the Plein in Bergen along beautiful rolling polders, flower fields to the historic city of Alkmaar. You leave Bergen and cycle through the polder through the flower bulb fields to the North Holland Dune Reserve, the area becomes greener and denser and more densely vegetated. In Bergen aan Zee, you can enjoy the sea, step off for a moment and look at the eternal swell of the water. A wonderful route where you can fully enjoy nature, after which you cross the historic city of Alkmaar and along the beautiful courtyards and beautiful canals. This route leads you through the dunes of Callantsoog, along the coast to Petten and over winding dikes and quiet long roads you cycle towards Den Helder. In the Netherlands, you will find the most hours of sunshine on the North Sea coast. In the North Holland polder you have a good chance of driving this route in beautiful weather. The route starts in the dunes of Callantsoog at Hotel 't Zwaantje. Here you can charge your bike's battery and for yourself. Enjoy the beautiful dune area in the direction of Petten. On winding dikes and quiet country roads you cycle through farmland and bulb fields where tulips, daffodils and hyacinths bloom in abundance in the first months of the season. The landscape is veined with countless ditches and canals. During your tour you will pass a number of striking buildings.
