A beautiful route along estates in the middle of the forest and dunes of the coastal region around Haarlem. You start in Bloemendaal at Gestrand, a well-known center to relax and enjoy. You cycle through Spaarnwoude to Santpoort Noord and enjoy the rich environment of forest and dunes and bulb fields. A special route around the city of Haarlem and Heemstede, from there you cycle through the varied nature, from nature reserves through nice places and along nice sights and even through the beautiful dunes and the National Park. You can park your car at Hotel Herbergh 1883, where you can enjoy a cup of coffee before starting. The route takes you through Vijfhuizen where you can take a look at the Monumental fort. This fort is part of the World Heritage. It has been an art fortress since 2005. A special place where military heritage and visual art come together. Well worth it. Then you cycle through Spaarnwoude. Visit the Cruquius Museum, Here you will learn everything about the reclamation of the Haarlemmermeer and the centuries-long struggle against the water.

Continue the route towards Bloemendaal aan Zee through the beautiful dune area. Take a short break at Restaurant Gestrand. Continue your route past Velsenbroek back to the starting point.
